**Position:** Mate / Engineer-private/charter 31m SY-MED **Yacht:** 31m Private Sailing Yacht (Commercial Registration in Progress) **Flag:** Malta **Start Date:** ASAP **Joining Location:** Livorno, Italy We are seeking a proactive and hands-on **Mate / Engineer** to join a recently refitted **31m Comar sailing yacht**. The vessel is currently completing her commercial registration and will operate privately this summer before commencing a charter programme next season. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong sailing background who enjoys a varied role combining deck operations, engineering support, and guest service. Package - **Salary:** €4,000-4,500/month DOE - **Leave:** 40-42 days per year - **Permanent position** following a successful probation period Programme - Private use this summer - Charter operations from next season - Summer itinerary: Italy, Corsica, South of France & Balearics - Winter base to be confirmed (Spain, Italy or France) Crew - 4 crew onboard - International team Requirements - **EU passport or valid Schengen work eligibility** - Minimum **1-2 years' experience** on a similar-sized sailing yacht - **AEC2** (required for Minimum Safe Manning) - Good mechanical knowledge with basic electrical skills - STCW Basic Safety Training - Valid ENG1 - Strong sailing experience - Good spoken English (Spanish is an advantage) - Positive, hands-on attitude and able to work within a small crew This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-presented sailing yacht with new owners and be part of the vessel as she enters an exciting new chapter.
