Rotational Captain – Private 56m S/Y
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Sailing Yacht Captain to join a prestigious, heavily used private vessel. The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with extensive sailing experience and a genuine passion for diving, water sports and adventure cruising.
Start date: Immediate
Itinerary: Greece, Palma refit, Caribbean and potential worldwide cruising
Package: Competitive salary paid in Euros, rotation TBC
Experience/Skills required:
• Minimum five years’ experience as Captain aboard similar-sized sailing yachts
• Strong sailing, operational and crew-management experience
• Confident managing an active private programme with frequent owner and family use
• Previous refit experience and the ability to coordinate with shipyards and management
• Strong interest and experience in water sports, particularly kitesurfing, diving and spearfishing
• Professional, safety-conscious and comfortable with worldwide cruising
• Fluent English; Italian would be a strong advantage
Qualifications required:
• STCW Master 3000 GT or Master (Yachts) 3000 GT
• PADI Divemaster or PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor qualification
• STCW certificates fully updated
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
• Seaman’s Discharge Book preferred
