**Position: BOSUN - Permanent** **In your cover letter:** Please advise your current location, availability, and monthly salary expectations. **Yacht:** MOTOR - 42m - Private **Job ID:** 11049347 **Location:** Florida **Start Date:** ASAP **Itinerary:** South Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean TBD **License Required: Must have Navigational Yacht Rating.** Yacht Master Offshore (preferred) **Requirements** - Minimum 2-3 seasons' experience on 35m+ yachts, including at least one season as a Lead Deckhand or Bosun - **Strong seamanship, bridge/watchkeeping, and tender driving skills** - Proven experience leading and mentoring a deck team - STCW + Refresher - ENG1 or current Fit for Duty marine medical (valid for 6 months) - Schengen Visa (if required) - B1/B2 Visa - Background check and drug testing may apply - Previous expedition or remote cruising experience highly desirable - Exceptional 5-star hospitality and guest service standards - Excellent attention to detail and vessel presentation - Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills - Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing conditions **Responsibilities** We are seeking an experienced **Bosun** to lead the deck team aboard a 42m yacht. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent seamanship, watchkeeping, tender operations, and the ability to organize daily deck activities while maintaining the highest safety and presentation standards. \- Lead, supervise, and motivate the deck team - Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily deck maintenance and projects - Maintain all exterior areas to superyacht standards - Organize deck inventories, equipment, and maintenance schedules - Assist with and oversee mooring, anchoring, docking, and line handling operations - Drive and maintain tenders and water toys - Stand bridge watches, act as lookout, and assist with navigation when required - Ensure deck safety procedures are followed and maintain safety equipment - Train and mentor junior deck crew - Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining a professional appearance - Work effectively in remote and challenging environments with a positive, proactive attitude **Salary**: Within yachting salary guidelines, depending on experience. **Commercial Registered Yacht:** No.
