Med. TBD** **Licence Required:** Current USCG Captain's License (50 GRT preferred). Candidates holding a 25 GRT license with relevant wheelhouse experience aboard comparable or larger yachts will also be considered. **Requirements:** Mate experience - STCW + Refresher - Adv. FF - ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months) - US Passport or Green card - Covid vaccination Background check and drug testing may apply. **Job Specifics:** We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and motivated Solo Mate to join a privately operated motor yacht based in Stuart, Florida. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the yachting industry while gaining valuable sea time and mentorship toward higher captain's licensing. Because the home marina does not permit liveaboards while the vessel is in Stuart, candidates should ideally reside within the area. Candidates relocating from outside the area must arrange their own local accommodations during the workweek (for example, shared housing or a roommate arrangement). Weekends are generally off when the vessel is not cruising. The successful candidate will become part of a close-knit owner and crew environment where professionalism, integrity, mutual respect, and teamwork are highly valued. This role requires extensive travel and a willingness to live aboard the vessel for the majority of the year. **Responsibilities** - Stand navigational watches and safely operate the vessel under the Captain's direction. - Assist with docking, anchoring, line handling, and all deck operations. - Perform routine vessel maintenance, detailing, washdowns, and exterior care to yacht standards. - Support the Captain with scheduled engineering maintenance and mechanical systems, with opportunities for hands-on training. - Assist with passage planning, navigation, and weather routing. - Operate and maintain onboard navigation systems, including Garmin electronics, chartplotters, Navionics, and weather applications. - Ensure the vessel is maintained in a constant state of readiness for cruising. **Salary range:** Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience **Package**: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process. **Commercial Registered Yacht:** no private under 500gt
