Bosun - North America
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Bosun for a 50m motor yacht.
Due to cabin requirements we are looking for a FEMALE bosun
Requirements
• Yacht Master Offshore
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience
• Great maintenance skills
• Confident in the overall running of the deck department
• Oversee all deck operations, including tender driving, and guest services
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Well organised and strong with inventorying
• B1/B2 Visa/Right to live & work in the USA Essential
Start date: ASAP
Location: FL
Salary: USD 5000
Leave: 38 days
Program & Itinerary- Private with local trips
The vessel is based in Fort Lauderdale, offering good working hours and a more settled routine. The intention is to begin cruising in the coming months, although a definite timeline cannot be confirmed at this stage. Longer-term plan is to charter in the Bahamas during the winter season.
This position would suit someone who enjoys a structured workload, is comfortable living onboard, and values independence and autonomy outside of watchkeeping duties.
