Our IT is run by a small internal team together with a range of external partners. To lead our IT through the next phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced Head of IT with a hands-on management mindset – someone who steers and shapes. Your impact As part of our shore-based IT team, you'll be at the heart of our digital operations, enabling our fleet and onboard teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Your work directly supports our vessels and the hospitality mission that defines GRC. What you'll do • Ensure a stable, secure and economical IT infrastructure that serves internal users as well as the luxury guest experience onboard all ships in our fleet. • Lead and further develop our IT team (currently 3 people) and our network of external partners • Own and drive the IT strategy in close alignment with our group/holding frameworks. • Identify opportunities, drive innovation and continuous improvement. • Steer external service providers, contracts and SLAs, and keep IT operations secure, stable and cost-efficient • Prioritise and steer IT projects across our international sites • Interface for Stakeholders and Management • Manage the IT budget and act as a trusted advisor to Management on IT and digitalisation • Ensure information security, data protection and compliance Your profile • Several years' experience in IT management or IT project leadership – or the ambition and aptitude to take the next step into a leadership role • Strong in steering external providers, budgets and projects; a background in (IT) project management is expressly welcome • Strategic, entrepreneurial and communicative, with solid technical understanding to challenge and guide (this is a management role – we are not looking for a systems engineer) • Experience in an SME, growth and/or international environment is an advantage • Business-fluent in English What we offer • A key role with real scope to shape a growing, internationally active company • A development opportunity for experienced (IT) project leaders stepping into a full leadership role • Short decision-making paths and a high degree of responsibility • Remote working possibilities • Travel to your customers and Stakeholders on the ships Your future with GRC Global River Cruises You’ll join a collaborative workplace where ideas are valued, and responsibility is shared early on.
