Working closely with the Corporate Fleet Manager, you will assist, teach, and support captains in managing all nautical operations on board allocated river cruisers. Make a meaningful impact and become a part of the nautical experts on the river. • Graduated education within the inland shipping industry, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a row in a position as First Captain on an inland river cruise vessel • Knowledge of and experience navigating the Danube is considered a strong advantage. • Owner of all needed certificates and licenses for the operation responsible, all other non-operational licenses are an advantage, but not a requirement • Excellent management, organization and communication skills • Guest-focused, stress-resistant, calm under pressure, team player and with professional appearance • Open-minded and flexible with high social and inter-cultural competencies • Excellent team player and a flexible attitude • Excellent English skills (written & verbal), other languages (French, German, Dutch) are an advantage, but not a requirement • Must work independently; have advanced computer skills to create presentations, scripts and projects • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel extensively (up to 80%) within the target area.
