• Support the Bartender in setting up and closing the assigned bar location, ensuring all areas, equipment, and supplies meet company standards. • Promptly and accurately record all guest and teammate orders using the onboard POS system, ensuring correct charging and reconciliation. • Deliver beverages and any OceanNow orders efficiently, using all features of the application to provide a personalized, memorable service experience. • Actively promote company beverage initiatives, upselling and suggesting alternatives without compromising the guest’s enjoyment. • Follow all beverage accounting and cash-handling procedures, immediately reporting any irregularities to the Bar Supervisor or Bar Manager. • Assist with regular bar inventory counts and stock control as directed, maintaining accurate records and minimizing waste. • Take full ownership and accountability for inventory, stock rotation, and presentation when assigned to the crew bar. • Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in line with Public Health and company standards, including glassware, equipment, and workstations. • Provide friendly, professional, and culturally aware service to all guests, including Japanese-speaking guests, supporting a welcoming onboard atmosphere. • Adhere to all Health, Environmental, Safety, and Security (HESS) and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) policies, promptly escalating any concerns to bar leadership.

• At least 1 year of experience in a Bar Steward, Bar Waiter, or similar food and beverage role within the hotel or cruise industry. • Strong knowledge of international drinks, coffees, cocktails, and bar equipment, with a commitment to maintaining brand standards. • Good understanding of basic public health, sanitation, and safety standards in bar and beverage operations. • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and a calm, professional manner. • Strong guest service focus, with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver warm, personalized service that enhances the onboard experience. • Organized and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow procedures, and meet deadlines. • Comfortable working in a multicultural, team-oriented environment, demonstrating respect, flexibility, and collaboration. • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written. • Strong command of Japanese, both verbal and written, with the ability to hold conversations and provide service to Japanese-speaking guests.
