About the role
Description
OSM Thome is looking for a qualified seafarer to join a Bermuda-flagged passenger ocean cruise vessel in Montevideo. Candidate should be ready to work safely in an international passenger ship environment and follow company and vessel procedures at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out assigned shipboard duties as per company and vessel instructions
- Follow all safety, security and environmental procedures
- Assist in passenger-related operations as required
- Participate in drills, crowd management and emergency response
- Keep work areas clean, safe and in good order
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses to supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience on seagoing vessels, preferably passenger ships
- Valid SID
- Valid BT COP (Basic Training Certificate of Proficiency)
- Valid Crowd Management / Crisis training
- Valid SDSD COP (Security Duties)
- Medically fit for sea service
- Good command of English for shipboard communication
- Able to join vessel in Montevideo, Uruguay
